Zoe Strauss and Alex Lukas interview up on the Megawords site

Our two most recent interviews with Zoe Strauss and Alex Lukas, now up for your regard.

"I think about it all the time. In terms of portraits, it’s an image of a real person. It’s not abstract. It’s not, ‘This is representing blah blah blah.’ It’s a real person that I’ve had a real interaction with. And almost always it’s someone I had a strong affection for that happened in that moment. I think a lot of what it means when these images go out into the world and how they get shown—what it then means is—how people are reading this image—"

From Alex Lukas, small publisher and screenprinter. Orginally from Boston, now based in Philly.
You had to go in this underground subway, which is essentially taking you from terminal A to B but in the videos they were talking about how one of those people moving things was going to drop you off in some underground hold. One of the things the guy kept talking about is that once you go underground at the Denver International Airport, you’ll never see the light of day again. So of course I’m on the subway, and I was like this is the end. That kind of experience is something I think other people might find interesting.
