The Journal is a place where our clients and friends can keep up with what we are doing, reading, thinking, and curious about. It is also our newsroom for events and press, as well as a place where we post longer articles about our projects and other matters that are relevant to us.
Baedeker guidebooks have become an essential part of modern travel lore. Besides their romantic connotations, we also love the amazing design detialed line-work of the fold out maps, and the leather covers and threaded bookmarks.
Verlag Karl Baedeker was a Germany-based publisher and pioneer in the business of worldwide travel guides. The guides, often referred as simply "Baedekers" contain important introductions, descriptions of buildings, of museum collections, etc., written by the best specialists, and were frequently revised in order to be up to date. For the convenience of travellers, they were produced in a small, handy format and in small print.
