Free News Projects

Free News Projects is an independent publisher working in art and music. Through intense and close collaboration with each of the artists they work with, they strive to build a new paradigm of creativity, freedom and originality in the publishing and music worlds.

Smyrski Creative developed the brand identity, style guide and website for Free News Projects. We also work directly as a producer with the artists and musicians on the Free News Projects' artist roster. We help them find the best paper choices, print vendors, sound technicians and distribution methods for their work. By empowering artists to produce and circulate professionally-designed work, Free News hopes to establish a new paradigm for how art reaches the public.

The website itself is an excellent extension of Free News Projects ethos. It's constantly alive with new information related to the artists and projects that Free News is involved with. We worked with Context Solutions to create a site that was easy to update using the Expression Engine CMS platform. The site also features and robust Magento e-commerce platform, a section for audio and video downloads, artist profiles and a news blog.
